Here is a compiled list of answers to the most burning questions

(see what we did there?) that Ses receives on a fairly regular basis.

Q - I'm interested in hiring you for an event, but my local fire regulations don't allow for fire eating/ we already have a fire eater. Can you still provide a full knife throwing show?
A - YES! The show is covered for fire under their insurance policy, but if fire usage is not permitted or is unnecessary, that's completely fine. Ses offers an alternative 'all-knife-throwing' show that has the same levels of excitement, comedy, and memorable fun.

Q - Does Ses use the same target assistants for every show?
A - In general, no. To help offset the rigors of touring on multiple people, Ses works with many assistants, from locations all over the United States. When he travels to perform, he simply brings in the people he knows that live closest to that particular event. Touring can be stressful and hard, so this method eases much of the burden on his assistants.

Q - Does Ses ever get burned?
A - Minor singes are pretty common, but it just comes with the territory.

Q - Has there ever been an incident with fire where anything was damaged, other than Ses?
A - Nope. Through his entire career, Ses is extremely proud that he has never had one single fire accident involving any damage or injuries to anything or anyone. Not many fire performers who have been in the game as long as him can make that claim. He takes safety very seriously and carries a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy, just in case.

Q - Where can I get a set of knives like the ones Ses uses?
A - Unfortunately, his main set of knives are no longer being made, however he does have a back-up set for various routines and those come from La Forge du Faune in Québec, Canada . Check out their Etsy page by clicking HERE.

Q - Does Ses's assistant ever get hit with a knife?
A - Only on the rarest of occasions. Human error dictates that a knife can't be thrown 100% perfectly, every single time, although Ses always does his best to keep his assistants safe, while maintaining the edge-of-your-seat thrills.

Q - Where did Ses learn to throw knives?
A - From the same person who made his main set of throwers, Mr. Harry Munroe; aka Der Werfer. He is a world champion target knife thrower, who is now retired from the sport.

Q - Where does Ses perform?
A - All over the United States and beyond - mostly for Renaissance festivals, but also for multimedia projects, theatrical shows, television, etc...

Q - Why does Ses also perform under the show title "Ses Carny's Torture Show"?
A - Many years ago, that was the original name of Ses's solo show at King Richard's Renaissance Faire, in which he performed some classic circus sideshow stunts. Over time, the show has evolved into what it is today, however the patrons of KRF have come to know it by the previous title over the years and so we keep it that way for that one festival.

Q - What are some of the show's previous credentials?
A - Circus Circus Casino, The Pioneer Casino, Ho-Chunk Casino, Six Flags Theme Parks Nationwide, Middle Platte Renaissance Faire, Bristol Renaissance Festival, King Richard's Renaissance Faire, and Countless Colleges, Tattoo and Music Festivals. Ses has also been featured on The Discovery Channel, The Science Channel, HDNet, Good Morning America, Comedy Central, NBC, and Ripley's Believe It Or Not (2 separate editions), as well as many more TV and publication appearances.
